Racine Area Camp #3
Feb.1 - 3
Dear Corps Members and Parents, It appears that Mother Nature is NOT a drum corps fan. Most of southeastern Wisconsin (Racine County in particular) experienced a heavy snowstorm last night. We are presently digging our way out from under over a half foot of heavy, wet snow. Most of the schools in Racine and Kenosha counties are closed today. Many of the main highways are snow covered and slippery. Most of the local streets here in Racine have yet to see a snowplow and the driving is trecherous. Our friends to the north in Green Bay have sleet and freezing rain to contend with. The forecast is for the lousy weather to continue on and off throughout the weekend.
In short, it is my feeling that no one should be driving in the mess, expecially after dark, when chances are that all this stuff will freeze and cause even MORE dangerous driving conditions. Therefore, I have cancelled camp for the weekend. We are trying to line up an alternative rehearsal for the weekend of the 23rd of February. All information regarding rehearsals will be posted on the website as soon as it is available.
Chuck, Bob, and Taras are working on the show music and we will have parts up on the website as soon as we receive them.
Stay home where its warm this weekend..
