Spring is FINALLY here!!!

… Yes indeedy!! The snow is almost gone and the temperature today hit 65!!! There is still a patch of the dirty white stuff under my front window, but I saw something today that hasn’t been visible to the naked eye in many months... MY DRIVEWAY!!

Okay, let’s get down to business. I am still in need of SEVERAL medical forms and permission from the Racine NORTH members. It is imperative that I have a signed medical from each and every corps members BEFORE you can get on the bus on Thursday night. And speaking of the bus.. everyone needs to meet at the Hardy’s on Hwy 20, by Hobby Lobby, at 9:00 pm. On Thursday evening. We will be departing from this location and making a few stops in Illinois to pick up additional people. I will post the final schedule on TUESDAY of this week, so be sure to check out The Chrome Times so you will know exactly what’s happening.

DON’T forget to bring your white MTX marching shoes, even if they no longer fit you.

Music for the front ensemble has been posted on the website, and more music will be coming between now and departure time. Keep checking the MUSIC section for daily updates!

On a sad note, the corps recently lost a much-loved supporter. Marie Babak, who was known to many as “Auntie”, passed away earlier this week. She was a devoted supporter of the Racine Scouts and often housed to corps members during the summer. She will be truly missed.

Racine SOUTH members are reminded to bring any/all delinquent paperwork to camp next weekend. This includes Membership forms, Venture Scout paperwork, and Medical forms. You will not be given a membership contract until I have all of your paperwork on file.
